This gene is the central gene in a cluster of three vanin genes on chromosome 6q23-q24.VNN3P (Vanin 3, Pseudogene) is a Pseudogene. Diseases associated with VNN3P include Allergic Contact Dermatitis and Autosomal Recessive Congenital Ichthyosis.The vanin gene family encodes secreted and membrane-bound ectoenzymes that convert pantetheine into pantothenic acid and cysteamine.
